Ripple Soars Past Ethereum

Ripple continues its massive bull run and has surpassed Ethereum (ETH) to become the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

The price of Ripple (XRP) was around $0.25 earlier this month (December 11th) and has increased almost 800% to currently $2.22 each.

The CEO of the SBI Group, Yoshitaka Kitao, also tweeted about Ripple a few weeks ago.

There have been rumors as well that Coinbase would add XRP for trading early next year.

The crypto market bull run the past couple months along with increased mainstream media attention has attracted many new investors to this space.

Ripple's low price per coin relative to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin has made it look attractive to investors. However, many of them are not looking at the 38,739,144,847 circulating supply and 99,993,093,880 total supply of XRP, which is extremely high and directly results in its large market cap.
